Biography: Hironori Yoshida (1955, Fukuoka, Japan) started his directing career in 1978 making TV advertisings. He has made more than 500 TV advertisings.
Interested in making short films since 2000, he made "Don't Wander Off the Road" (2003) which has been screened at the LA Short Film Festival, the Thailand Short Film Festival, and the Global Environment Film Festival (Tokyo). After returning to his hometown, Fukuoka, he began concentrating on filming nature's beauty.
In 2008, he began academic research, and received his Ph.D. from the Japan Design Research Association in 2011. His dissertation was a study on images that remain in the memory after viewing moving visuals.
